This is a biography of 4 separate "eminent" Victorians: Cardinal Manning, Florence Nightingale, Dr. Arnold and General Gordon. Apparently it was written to point out the flaws of the Victorian Age that led to World War I. I thought it was fine. Not great, just fine.
Reading "Catcher in the Rye". I am not looking forward to it because most people have responded with "I didn't really care for that book" when I have mentioned that it is next on my list.
